Android Devices Database: Activations by Vendor, Handset Model & Region Q4'2011

With global shipments increasing to an all time high of 1.5 Billion units, Android Smartphones have maintained a global Smartphone market share of over 47 %, with 4 major vendors (Samsung, HTC, Motorola Mobility & LG) accounting for 80 % of all Android devices. Google recently announced in its Q4 2011 conference call that the total number of android activations had surpassed 250 million in Q4'2011, up from 190 million in Q3 2011. Covering over 46 device vendors and all Android device models till date, this database tracks Android activations by individual device model, vendor and region. The target audience for this report includes handset manufacturers, application developers and mobile network operators. All variants of particular device series are individually covered in the database. As an example, for the Samsung Galaxy S series, the GT-i7500, Galaxy, GT-i9000, Galaxy S, GT-i9100, Galaxy S II, Galaxy S II LTE and all other individual variations are covered individually.
