Bluetooth SMD Antenna concept

This surface-mounted, high-performance minature antenna is intended for use with all 2.4Ghz application where small size and low weight are key factors. The antenna reguires a groundplane, i.e. your device acts an active part of the antenna and thus demands careful consideration concerning its placements.

The environment around the antenna will influence the antenna impedance. In order to ensure 50 Ohm impedance it is necessary to match the antenna with external components for each particular application.

Typical applications: PDAs, notebooks and industrial applications.


Bluetooth ICM Antenna concept

Internal Case-Mounted for PCBs. Very small, high-performance antennas that are mounted on the case separate from the PCB but use contact points on it. Thus they require no space on PCBs. ICM antennas are tailored to customer requirements and product design. Multiband antennas are also possible.

Typical applications PDAs, handheld devices, devices with limited PCB space.

Technical facts: Internal Case-Mounted 1/2 wave antenna independent of ground plane. Only the contact pad requires space on the PCB: the antenna is mounted as an integrated part of the device casing. The antenna size, location and contact pads can be customized to suit the customer application.

Snap-in Flavus

This is our standard Snap-In Antenna intended for all 2.4 GHz applications where very high performance is combined with low profile snap-in assembly directly on the printed circuit board. Since this is a half- wave antenna it is independent of ground plane to ensure stable performance.

For optimal cost/performance this antenna package includes measurements and custom tuning together with technical support. (in order to eliminate the influence on performance that the environment around the antenna otherwise can have).

Internal 1/2 wave antenna independent of ground plan.

Surface-mounted. Size: 8x27x3.8 mm. Typical applications: Notebooks, PDA's, industrial applications.

Snap-in Crispus

This is our standard Snap-In Antenna intended for all 2.4 GHz applications where very high performance is combined with low profile snap-in assembly directly on the printed circuit board. Since this is a half- wave antenna it is independent of ground plane to ensure stable performance.

For optimal cost/performance this antenna package includes measurements and custom tuning together with technical support. (in order to eliminate the influence on performance that the environment around the antenna otherwise can have).

Internal 1/2 wave antenna independent of ground plan.

Surface-mounted.
Size: 20x30x5 mm.
Typical applications:
Mobile or desktop computers, diverse instruments, toys, audio equipment, automotive systems.

SMD Limata

gigaAnt 2.4 GHz antenna sample kit

As its name suggests, our sample kit contains samples of the three types of off-the-shelf antennas that gigaAnt produces for applications in the 2.4 GHz bandwidth. Each sample kit is specially designed according to your request. In addition, application notes are enclosed on the antennas and what needs to be considered when implementing antenna work. The Sample Kit helps you with preliminary design work and lays the foundation for further discussions on obtaining the right antenna solution.
