Socket Products
Socket offers fully-supported Module SDKs to aid OEMs in incorporating
Bluetooth into their new product designs. Each Kit includes Socket’s
small form factor Bluetooth hardware module along with a versatile adapter
board that will allow the module to communicate with a standard computer
interface for development and testing purposes. The Module SDKs are
compatible with the Windows CE operating system, and Socket will add
support for additional operating systems as the embedded device market
demands.
The Module SDKs contain a Bluetooth RF Module, which enables designers
to add Bluetooth functionality rapidly and easily. The Bluetooth modules
have an optimized RF layout and a single connector for all UART, PCM, USB,
power, and ground signals. Socket offers the option of either an embedded
(SMD) antenna or a low-profile RF antenna connector on the module to
accommodate your specific application.

Socket's Bluetooth Connection Kit creates a
cable-free link between your Pocket PC and a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone
allowing you to exchange email, browse the Internet or access your company
network using your phone as a modem - even when your phone is tucked away
in your purse, backpack or briefcase. You also can use the Socket Dialer
software to call any of your contacts. Simply tap on any contact and let
your Windows CE device dial your Bluetooth-enabled phone.
