Transilica Bluetooth Solution
The Transilica Bluetooth solution claims to be the world’s smallest
fully integrated Bluetooth System-on-Chip solution. ‘OneChip™ TR0700B
combines Built-In Flash and All Bluetooth Functionality to Enable Smaller,
Less Expensive Wireless Devices Including PDAs, Notebooks and Headsets .’
Transilica's Bluetooth Technology
Transilica has focused its RF silicon, digital ASIC and software
development expertise to bring the smallest and most economical Bluetooth
solution to the consumer electronics market. The Transilica OneChip
system-on-chip solution minimizes the size of both the silicon and software
while providing full Bluetooth functionality. Transilica's advanced design
economy offers smaller package sizes, lower power consumption and lower
total solution costs. The OneChip represents a true innovation in the
Bluetooth industry and is the first solution to truly enable Bluetooth into
high volume consumer electronics.
OneChip™ integrates the primary Bluetooth components including the RF
Transceiver, Digital Baseband Modem, 8051 Processor, SRAM and Flash memory
packaged in a Single 8x8mm BGA MCM. The OneChip also integrates the LNA
(Low Noise Amplifiers), Regulators, Filters, PLL, VCO and Clock. The
OneChip also integrates dual UARTs, serial ports and 32 GPIOs. USB and
Audio Codecs can also be built into the Baseband.
Embedded Development Kits
Transilica offers three different Embedded Development Kits (EDK):

- TR1750-EDK Voice and Data Communication Development Kit
- TR1760-EDK USB Data Communication Development Kit
TR1750-EDK Voice & Data Communication Development Kit
The TR1750-EDK features an integrated Audio Codec offering CVSD PCM
A-law or m-law voice communication. The TR0750-EDK development kit
contains:
- TR0750 OneChip Development Models with internal Audio Codec
- Software development tools including API description, application
profiles, example applications and programmer reference documentation.
- Hardware development tools including full technical specifications,
reference schematics, reference BOMs and reference gerber files.
TR0750
The TR0750 OneChip™ is a fully functional Bluetooth SoC with an
internal audio CODEC designed for short-range voice and data
communications. Its low power consumption and built-in audio CODEC make it
ideal for short-range wireless headsets. For long-range applications (such
as cordless telephones and intercom systems), the TR0750 allows an external
RF booster amplifier to be easily added using its internal PA power
controls.
