Explanation of Phase in Hopping Sequences

Original Post: Phase    Date: 2000-05-30

The term 'phase' is often used in the description of the hopping sequences. Simply put the phase is the time or particular stage of a hop sequence. i.e  the frequency it hops to at one specific time. In the 79-hop system. the clock bit CLK6-2 specifies the phase.

For example, assume the hop freq. sequence is [03 45 25 ......61], and assume CLK6-2 = 02. Then the phase is 2 and thus the current hop frequency is 25
