Park Mode Availability for SCO Links

Original Post: PARK mode  (SIG Forum )    Date: 2000-06-18

When we speak about park mode, it must be remembered that park mode only applies to ACL (Asynchronous Connection Less) , not for SCO links . The same also applies to sniff and hold mode, these are not available for SCO links either. The reason for this is that SCO links transmit time-bounded data, and thus these guarantees of transmission would be violated by the unit temporally withdrawing from communication on the piconet (which is what occurs in the park/sniff/hold modes).
