This IDC study updates IDC Canada's annual forecast of the Canadian wireless communications market. There is ample growth potential in this market - especially in the business segment - as wireless tracks to being a C$21.5 billion market in 2012.
"Canada now has more wireless subscribers than wireline phone users, helping to solidify the position of wireless as the future of the telecommunications sector," said Lawrence Surtees, vice president of communications research and principal analyst at IDC Canada Ltd. "Yet the wireless market in Canada is far from saturated, underscored by the licensing of new entrants."
