Description: RDY is a family of X-band, multifunction/multimode, mechanically scanned radar with first-generation VHSIC-programmable signal processing and low, medium, and high pulse-repetition frequency. Status: In service and ongoing maintenance. Application: The RDY radar was designed as the radar for the Mirage 2000-5. It is a multifunction and multimode radar system capable of performing air-to-ground, air-to-sea, and air-to-air missions. The RDY-3 is marketed as a cost-effective radar for combat aircraft modernization. Targeted aircraft include Mirage variants, the MiG-29, and India's Light Combat Aircraft (LCA).
