This IDC study analyzes the development trends in China's CDMA market, based on the research on global CDMA industry development status, China 3G market development status, China CDMA industry development status, and main competitors' market strategies. In addition, this study includes some advice from China Telecom. "When government's LTE development and licensing policy are not clear while peers already compete for 3G markets, China Telecom should use the window time to enhance its 3G branding and network quality to compete against HSPA+ with DORB, before the LTE license is issued. At the same time, in light of the huge LTE investment and to protect the mid- and long-term investment, China Telecom should increase its input in DORB to avoid investment conflict with LTE," Jason Shen, senior analyst, Services and Telecommunications Research, IDC China.
